Rhodiola rosea is an herb in the rhodiola genera (Crassulaceae family) which has traditionally been applied as an anti-fatigue agent and broad adaptogenic compound. With origins in the colder regions of Europe and Asia, it is said that this fragrant plant was valued by the Vikings as a method of increasing physical and mental endurance. Modern research supports its benefits as an antidepressant, stress combatant, cognitive enhancer, and exercise performance booster. Its primary efficacious compounds are rosavin and salidroside. All together, Rhodiola rosea provides a cornucopia of anti-stress and pro-performance benefits.*
