Hericium erinaceus (also known as lion's mane mushroom, monkey head mushroom, as well as a variety of other names) is an edible mushroom and member of the tooth fungus group. Native to North America, Europe and Asia, it is typically found in a single clump of dangling spines, hence its name. Lion's mane has been used for centures in traditional Chinese medicine for its potential to support cognition, mood and the immune system.*
